Suvans Millennium School in Gonda celebrates Raksha Bandhan with hundreds of sisters

Suvans Millennium Public School in Gonda celebrated Raksha Bandhan on Wednesday with great enthusiasm, bringing together the school's principal, teachers, staff, and hundreds of sisters from across the town and surrounding rural areas. The festival, which celebrates the sacred bond between brothers and sisters, was marked by traditional rituals and cultural performances on the school premises.

The celebrations began with Principal Reena Tiwari performing the traditional tilak ceremony for Sooraj Singh, followed by aarti and tying the sacred rakhi thread. She prayed for the continued strength of mutual protection and trust between brothers and sisters. Hundreds of women from both urban and rural areas of the region then tied rakhis on Sooraj Singh's wrist, marking the occasion with warmth and affection.

Speaking on the occasion, Sooraj Singh reflected on the priceless nature of the sibling relationship. He said that the bond between brothers and sisters is invaluable and cannot be expressed in mere words. He noted how this relationship, which begins with childhood mischief and playfulness, gradually transforms into one of protection and unwavering trust without one even realizing when the change occurs.

The event featured cultural performances by school teachers. Suman Singh performed the song "Samjho Na Resham Ka Taar Bhaiya," while Shaily Patel presented "Mata Bhi Tu Pita Bhi Tu... Bahanon Ka Abhimaan Bhi Tu." Parents of students, including Pooja Rai and Mansi Chauhan, shared personal stories related to Raksha Bandhan and offered suggestions on how to make the celebration more meaningful.

Sooraj Singh concluded the celebrations by serving sweets to all the sisters present and distributing numerous gifts, making the day memorable for everyone who attended the special gathering at the school.
