Rotary International distributes nutrition bundles to 125 pregnant mothers in Ghaziabad

A maternal nutrition program was organised at the joint district hospital in Sanjay Nagar, Commissionerate Ghaziabad, on 09 September 2026 by Rotarian Swati Gupta, the first woman representative of Rotary International District 3012, and Shri Subhash Gupta, outgoing president of Red Cross Ghaziabad.

Smt. Priyashree Pal, Assistant Commissioner of Police Wave City, attended the program as chief guest. In her compassionate address, ACP Smt. Priyashree Pal repeatedly expressed gratitude to the Rotary family for understanding the anguish of mothers and for launching a beneficial initiative like the nutrition bundle.

During the event, 125 pregnant mothers and sisters were given nutrition bundles and 50 women received protein powder. The objective of this initiative is to ensure better health and adequate nutrition for pregnant women and their unborn children.

Women were educated during the program about the importance of balanced and nutritious diet during pregnancy. The program is organised every month through the courtesy of Rotary International District 3012 and affiliated Rotary clubs.

The event concluded with the message: "A well-nourished mother means a healthy child, this is the foundation of a healthy society and an empowered future."
