Ghaziabad police, Rotary International distribute nutrition bundles to 125 pregnant women

Ghaziabad Commissionerate Police, in collaboration with Rotary International District 3012 and Red Cross Ghaziabad, organised a maternal nutrition diet program at the Joint District Hospital in Sanjay Nagar on 09 September 2026. The initiative aimed to ensure better health and adequate nutrition for pregnant women and their unborn children.

The program was organised through the joint efforts of Ro. Swati Gupta, the first woman from Rotary International District 3012, and Shri Subhash Gupta, outgoing president of Red Cross Ghaziabad. Srimati Priyashree Pal, Assistant Commissioner of Police Wave City, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

In her affectionate address, ACP Srimati Priyashree Pal repeatedly expressed gratitude to the Rotary family and said that they had taken a welfare initiative like the nutrition bundle while understanding the pain of mothers. She appreciated the initiative and said that paying attention to the health of pregnant women is the responsibility of society.

During the program, nutrition bundles were distributed to 125 pregnant mothers and sisters, while protein powder was given to 50 women. The main objective of the program was to ensure better health and proper nutrition for pregnant women and their unborn babies.

Women were also made aware about the importance of balanced and nutritious diet during pregnancy. This program, organised courtesy of Rotary International District 3012 and affiliated Rotary Clubs, is conducted regularly every month. The police administration is continuously extending cooperation in such social welfare works so that benefits of government and non-government efforts can reach the weaker sections of society.
