Pratapgarh Police tightens rules for faster road accident investigations and compensation claims

Pratapgarh Police has issued comprehensive directives to officers and personnel to ensure swift action, timely portal feeding, and quality investigation in road accident cases. A meeting was convened under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Pratapgarh Deepak Bhukar, bringing together investigators, CCTNS personnel, computer operators, and officials associated with iRAD and eDAR portals from various police stations across the district.

During the meeting, detailed information was provided regarding police action following road accidents, documentation procedures, and the feeding of information on iRAD and eDAR portals. Officers were explicitly instructed to mandatorily upload all necessary details related to accidents on the portal within 24 hours. Investigators received specific directions to conduct thorough site inspections, collect evidence, prepare required records, and complete other investigative actions while ensuring factual and quality investigation.

Officials emphasized that accurate and timely entry of accident details on iRAD and eDAR portals plays a crucial role in the quick and effective settlement of compensation claims for road accident victims. Clear instructions were issued against negligence or unnecessary delays at any level of the process. The systematic documentation on these portals directly impacts the speed at which victims and their families receive financial relief.
