Pratapgarh police arrest wanted fraud accused after years of evading court warrant

Pratapgarh police have arrested a wanted accused on a non-bailable warrant issued by the court. The Kunda police station team apprehended the suspect from his home and produced him before the court following due procedure.

The arrest was part of an ongoing campaign launched under the direction of Pratapgarh Superintendent of Police Deepak Bhukar to apprehend wanted and warrant accused. Acting on a non-bailable warrant issued by the Additional Civil Judge (Junior Division), Court No. 24, Pratapgarh, the Kunda police executed the operation targeting a long-evading suspect.

According to police sources, the arrested person has been identified as Dilsad Ahmad, son of Mohammad Ibrahim, aged 49 years, a resident of Sujoli village under Kunda police station jurisdiction. He was wanted in Criminal Case No. 4624/2021, State versus Hisamuddin and others, related to Crime No. 118/1999 registered under Sections 420, 409, 467 and 468 of the Indian Penal Code. These sections pertain to serious offences including cheating, criminal breach of trust by a public servant, forgery of valuable security, and forgery for the purpose of cheating.

The police team that carried out the operation comprised Sub-Inspector Manoj Rai, Head Constable Deepak Dubey, and Constable Kuldeep Patel. The successful execution of the warrant demonstrates the police department's commitment to bringing absconders to justice and ensuring that those evading legal proceedings are held accountable. The accused has now been remanded to judicial custody as per court orders, and further legal proceedings in the case will follow.
