Pratapgarh BJP Marks Deendayal Upadhyaya Anniversary At Over 2,500 Booths

The Bharatiya Janata Party in Pratapgarh marked the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya with programmes held from the district headquarters down to the booth level, paying tribute to the proponent of Integral Humanism and nationalist thinker with what the party described as श्रद्धा and संकल्प.

According to the party, events were organised at more than 2500 booths across Pratapgarh district. Party workers remembered Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s life, struggles and ideas, and reiterated the pledge of Antyodaya, the upliftment of the last person in society.

At the main programme organised in the district, BJP district president Ashish Kumar Srivastava, Sadar MLA Rajendra Kumar Maurya, along with party office-bearers and workers, offered garlands and floral tributes at the statue of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and paid homage to him.

A विचार गोष्ठी was also held after the tribute programme. Speaking there, district president Ashish Kumar Srivastava said that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s life was dedicated to the upliftment of the person standing at the last rung of society and the nation. He said Upadhyaya did not see politics as a means to gain power, but as a medium for service to the nation and the people.

Srivastava said that the idea of Antyodaya continues to guide the BJP’s policies and welfare work even today. He said every worker should resolve to bring Upadhyaya’s ideas into their own conduct and ensure that service, development and public welfare reach the last person in society.

Sadar MLA Rajendra Kumar Maurya said that Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya gave a new direction to Indian politics through the ideas of Integral Humanism, nationalism, swadeshi and Antyodaya. He described Upadhyaya’s life as an inspiring example of simplicity, commitment to the nation and dedication to society.

Maurya said that taking Upadhyaya’s ideas to every person and following his ideals would be the true tribute to him.

BJP district spokesperson Raghavendra Shukla said that on the occasion of the birth anniversary, programmes were organised at around more than 2500 booths in the district. At the booth level, workers offered garlands and floral tributes to the picture of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and shared his life, Integral Humanism and the ideas of Antyodaya with party workers and the general public.

District co-media in-charge Devesh Tripathi said that through the booth-level programmes, workers took a pledge to take Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya’s thoughts to every person and to carry forward the resolve of Antyodaya through service and public welfare.

Several BJP leaders and office-bearers were present on the occasion, including Ashutosh Tripathi, district vice presidents Anurag Mishra, Ram Asare Pal and Ramji Mishra, Kashi region member Ashok Mishra, district general secretaries Rajesh Singh, Ajay Verma and Rajan Mishra, district ministers Surya Prakash Patel, Anshuman Singh, Sadhu Dubey, Alok Garg, Shivangu Sonkar, Sujit Pandey and Gajraj Singh.

District office-bearers, mandal presidents, mandal office-bearers, Shakti Kendra convenors, booth presidents and a large number of party workers also attended the programmes held as part of the birth anniversary observance in Pratapgarh.
