Police tighten security for ministerial event at Janata Inter College on September 20

Police have stepped up security preparations for a planned event featuring Union Minister Chaudhary Jayant Singh and Cabinet Minister Anil Kumar at Janata Inter College in the Nai Mandi police station area on 20 September. City Superintendent of Police Amrit Jain inspected the venue on Saturday to review security and traffic arrangements ahead of the programme.

During the inspection, SP City Jain examined multiple aspects of the security setup including entry and exit points, the stage area, VIP zones, parking facilities, barricading arrangements and duty points. He took stock of the overall security architecture and traffic management plans that have been put in place for the event.

The senior police officer issued detailed instructions to the concerned police officials emphasising that security arrangements must be kept watertight during the programme. He directed that police personnel remain alert at their assigned duty points and ensure checking of people and vehicles coming in and going out as required. SP Jain also stressed that special attention should be paid to traffic management and ensuring convenience for the general public attending or passing through the area during the event.
