Police summon family of murder victim for road protest seeking justice

Police have begun action against family members and residents who staged a road protest with the body of murder victim Ankit Kashyap in Gauriganj, pasting notices on homes summoning them to the police station. The development has sparked fear in the neighborhood and ignited debate over whether bereaved relatives seeking justice are now being treated as accused.

Ankit Kashyap, a resident of Poore Baan Singh locality in Gauriganj, was murdered on August 3. Following his death, family members and local residents placed his body on the road in protest and clashed with police, demanding swift action. Police have now issued notices to several people involved in the demonstration, directing them to appear at the station.

The notices have created an atmosphere of panic among the victim's family and the entire neighborhood.
