Warrant accused Sonu Verma arrested in Pratapgarh district operation

Udaypur police in Pratapgarh district have arrested a warrant accused as part of an ongoing crackdown on crime and criminals in the region. The suspect was apprehended near the State Bank of India branch in Kumbhi Aima village following coordinated efforts by the local police station.

The arrested individual has been identified as Sonu Verma alias Ganesh, 31, son of Parmeshwar Prasad Verma, a resident of Bhawani Singh ka Purwa in Kumbhi Aima area under Udaypur police station jurisdiction in Pratapgarh district. According to police officials, a non-bailable warrant had been issued against the accused in connection with Session Trial Number 45/2017, State versus Santosh Kumar Singh and others.

The arrest was carried out under the direct supervision of Pratapgarh Superintendent of Police Deepak Bhukar, who has been leading an intensified campaign against criminals and outstanding warrants in the district. The operation reflects the police department's commitment to ensuring that those evading the law are brought to justice swiftly.

The police team that executed the arrest included Sub-Inspector Amit Dwivedi and Constable Jiyan Kumar.
