Nanpara Police in Bahraich district have arrested three suspects wanted in connection with a theft case that occurred in August last year. The arrests were made under the supervision of Station House Officer Gursen Singh and his team, following a coordinated crackdown on crime and criminals in the region.

The case dates back to August 21, 2026, when complainant Jogendra, son of Ram Chandar and resident of Badlu Bhagat Purwa under Nanpara Kotwali jurisdiction, filed a report regarding a burglary at his home during the night of August 18-19. According to the complaint, the accused Rustam son of Umesh and Durgesh son of Jogendra had stolen items from his house and subsequently sold the stolen goods at a shop belonging to Ashraful son of Mohammad Ismail, located at Imamganj Chowraha in Nanpara Kotwali area.

Following registration of the case and subsequent investigation, police gathered crucial information that led to the detention of all three accused. The arrested individuals have been identified as 55-year-old Ashraful son of Mohammad Ismail from Mohammad Padav, 20-year-old Rustam son of Umesh from Badlu Bhagat Purwa, and Durgesh son of Jogendra Maurya, also from Badlu Bhagat Purwa. During the arrests, police recovered stolen items including one batula, one spoon, and four plates from the accused.

The operation was conducted under the guidance of Bahraich Superintendent of Police Vishwajeet Srivastava, Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Durga Prasad Tiwari, and Circle Officer Nanpara Chitranshu Gautam. The police team comprising nine officers, including Sub-Inspectors Vikas Verma and Kameshwar Rai, along with constables and head constables, successfully executed the arrests. After completing necessary legal procedures, the accused were produced before the court for further proceedings.
