Police administration carries out major reshuffle of 14 inspectors across district

The police administration has carried out a major reshuffle involving 14 inspectors and sub-inspectors across the district with immediate effect. The transfers have been implemented to strengthen law and order in the region, following a decision taken by the District Police Establishment Board in its proceedings numbered 26/निरी0/उ0नि0गण/2026 dated August 19, 2026.

Among the key transfers, Inspector Anil Kumar has been moved from his position as Additional Inspector at Mangalpur police station to take charge of the Crime Branch. Inspector Praveen Kumar, who was heading the Surveillance Cell, has been assigned as the officer-in-charge of Mangalpur police station. Inspector Mahesh Kumar has been transferred from Amrahat police station to head the DCRB and Crime in India unit, while Inspector Devendra Singh moves in the opposite direction to take charge of AHT police station.

Women officers have also been reassigned in this reshuffle. Lady Inspector Reena Gautam has been transferred from AHT police station to Akbarpur, while Lady Inspector Seema Singh moves from the Women's Help Cell to the Police Lines. Lady Sub-Inspector Sushma takes over as the new in-charge of the Women's Help Cell after her posting at the Women's police station.

Several Sub-Inspectors have been given new station house officer postings. Sanjay Datt Verma moves from Asaltganj outpost to become SHO of Devrahat, Dinesh Kumar Gautam shifts from Raniya to Amrahat, Rahul Kumar goes from Barour to Sikandra, and Somveer moves from Bhaupur outpost to become SHO of Barour police station. Sub-Inspector Saurabh Kumar Rana has been transferred to head the Surveillance Cell, while Neeraj Sharma takes charge of the Women's police station.

All transferred officers have been directed to assume charge at their new postings with immediate effect. The wide-ranging reshuffle is seen as part of the police administration's strategy to optimize deployment and improve operational efficiency across the district.
