Patna Students Protest Demanding Roshan Anand's Release Amid Coaching Controversy

Students gathered outside a Patna college and planned a march to Kargil Chowk, demanding the release of Roshan Anand, director of Gyan Bindu Coaching, who is in jail in connection with an attack on Khan Sir's coaching institute. A large police presence was deployed at the site, including water cannon vehicles. Protesters questioned the fairness of the investigation, alleging that Anand was jailed without proper inquiry, while others involved were granted bail.

The court heard Anand's bail plea but rejected it. Meanwhile, in the firing case, the court granted interim relief to Khan Sir, instructing authorities not to take coercive action against him until further orders. Khan Sir's lawyer, Arvind Kumar Mahua, argued that the firing was in self-defense and not intended to spread fear. The court scheduled the next hearing on Khan Sir's anticipatory bail plea for June 20.

In a related case, the court also reviewed bail applications for Khan Sir's security guards, Deepak Kumar and Talebar Singh, who were arrested on June 4. The court has sought evidence from the police and reserved its decision.

Khan Sir addressed students in his classroom, discussing the attack on his coaching institute. He showed CCTV footage and claimed that his guards were beaten by a group of 20-25 people. He also warned that if his coaching institute shuts down, fees at other institutes could rise significantly. Khan Sir emphasized that his goal is not profit but providing affordable education.
