NSG Conducts Mock Drills at Three Indore Locations Ahead of Festivals

In Indore, NSG commandos conducted mock drills at three separate locations as part of preparations to deal with terrorist incidents during festivals. The exercises were held at Indore Airport and the Daily College campus. Another mock drill was also conducted at Rajwada late at night.

At Daily College, the NSG created a hypothetical situation in which 5-6 terrorists were present inside the campus. As soon as the information was received, NSG commandos reached the spot and started the operation.

Before reaching the main building, the commandos used smoke bombs. They then practised entering the building, neutralising the terrorists and safely evacuating the hostages.

The operation at Daily College continued for 5-6 hours. During the operation, different emergency situations were tested to assess the commandos’ preparedness and response.

The mock drill at the Indore Airport and the exercise at the Daily College campus were held to test preparations for dealing with terrorist incidents during festivals. The late-night drill at Rajwada was also part of the same exercise.

Information has also emerged that an NSG mock drill was conducted in Ujjain after the drills in Indore.
