Muzaffarnagar Man Alleges Tractor-Run-Over Attempt, Iron Rod Attack Over Field Dispute

A dispute over irrigating a field and tying sugarcane has led to allegations of a life-threatening attack on a young man in Kasampur village, under the jurisdiction of Chhapar police station in Muzaffarnagar district. The complainant, Taiyaba, has approached Senior Superintendent of Police Suraj Kumar Rai, seeking legal action against the accused.

According to the complaint, Noman and Aman had gone to their field at around 11 am on 8 October 2026 to run water for irrigation and tie sugarcane. During this time, an argument reportedly broke out with Kudrat Ali alias Pappu, Azhar Pasha and Tabish.

The complaint alleges that when Aman objected, an attempt was made to run him over with a tractor. It further states that Azhar Pasha then brought an iron rod after taking it out of the tractor, while Tabish attacked with a sharp-edged weapon.

The complainant has also alleged that Kudrat Ali struck Noman with a stick. Noman suffered a serious injury to his head, and his shirt became soaked in blood, according to the complaint.

Noman was taken to the district hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. The complaint states that the alleged attackers also issued threats over a mobile phone after the incident.

Taiyaba further said that the family had earlier submitted a complaint at Chhapar police station regarding an assault. The application also alleges that although arrests have been made in the case, effective legal action has not yet been taken.

Taiyaba has requested SSP Suraj Kumar Rai to order a fair investigation and take action against the accused according to the law. The exact status of action in the matter will become clear after the police’s official version is made available.
