Man dies after speeding car hits motorcycle on Pratapgarh road

A young man died following a road accident in Pratapgarh's Lalganj police station area, while his wife was seriously injured. The incident occurred on Saturday night when the couple was returning home after getting medical treatment for the wife.

Pawan Singh alias Malkhan Singh, 38, a resident of Dagrara village in the Lalganj police station area, had come to Lalganj on his motorcycle with his wife Anju Singh around 9 pm on Saturday to get her treated. After the treatment, both were returning home on the motorcycle.

Near Naya Ka Purwa on the Raebareli-Pratapgarh road, a speeding car coming from behind rammed into their motorcycle. The impact of the collision threw both husband and wife onto the road, leaving them seriously injured.

After the accident, people present at the spot rushed both of them to the trauma centre for treatment. Following initial treatment, their condition remained critical and both were referred to the district hospital. As Pawan Singh's condition deteriorated, doctors referred him to Prayagraj, where he died during treatment on Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, his wife Anju Singh, who was also injured in the accident, is undergoing treatment at the district hospital. The young man's death has left the family devastated, with relatives inconsolable after the tragedy.
