Hathras Temple’s 11-Kund Mahayagya Begins After 21-Km Parikrama

The 11-kund Mahayagya began in a devotional atmosphere at the premises of the Bade Khatu Shyam Ji Temple, located between the villages of Kheda Parsoli, Katelia, Chandragarhi and Pattigarhi in Hathras. The religious ceremony was inaugurated with a 21-kilometre parikrama led by former municipal chairperson Pandit Ashish Sharma.

As the Mahayagya began, the entire area resonated with the chanting of Vedic mantras and slogans in praise of Baba Khatu Shyam. A large number of devotees from nearby villages took part in the event and expressed their faith in religion and spirituality.

After offering ahutis in the yagna mandap, Pandit Ashish Sharma addressed the devotees and villagers. He said it was a matter of pride and good fortune for him to have received the opportunity to participate in the grand inauguration of Baba Khatu Shyam Ji’s 11-kund Mahayagya with the sacred blessings of Chhechhi Maiya.

He said that religious ceremonies organised in rural areas spread positive energy, mutual harmony and spiritual awareness in society. Such events also inspire people to remain connected with religion and culture, he said.

Pandit Ashish Sharma further said that, along with the sacred shrine of Chhechhi Maiya, a grand temple of Baba Khatu Shyam Ji was now also being constructed there. He said the temple would become a major centre of faith in the area in the coming time.

He congratulated all the villagers, organisers and devotees involved in this religious and sacred work. He also expressed the hope that, with the blessings of Baba Shyam and Maiya Rani, happiness, peace and prosperity would continue in the area.

Devotees from nearby villages, including elderly people and young participants, were present in large numbers on the occasion of the Mahayagya’s inauguration. Special enthusiasm was seen among the devotees during the 21-kilometre parikrama.

The entire temple premises appeared immersed in a devotional atmosphere. The organisers said that ahutis would be offered regularly in the yagna every day during the Mahayagya and that various religious ceremonies would also be conducted.
