Leopard spotted prowling near house in Bahraich village, caught on CCTV

A leopard was seen prowling near a house in Mukhiya Farm village under the Nishangarha Range of Katarniaghat Wildlife Division in Bahraich, and the entire incident was captured on CCTV camera.

According to information, the leopard was spotted outside the house of Malkit Singh. Family members checked the CCTV footage in the morning and found the big cat roaming around the premises.

The sighting has spread fear across the entire area. Villagers have demanded that the forest department immediately increase patrolling and make security arrangements to ensure their safety.

After receiving information about the incident, a team of forest officials reached the spot and conducted a search operation in the surrounding areas. Officials have appealed to villagers not to venture out of their homes alone at night and to take special care of children and livestock.

The forest department has said that the leopard's movements are being continuously monitored. If necessary, a cage will also be set up to capture the animal.

The incident has raised concerns among local residents about wildlife straying into human habitation areas. The forest department's response reflects the standard protocol followed in such situations, balancing wildlife conservation with public safety.
