Large procession in Bulandshahr marks birth and death anniversary of Prophet Muhammad

A Barah-e-Wafaat procession was taken out under tight police security in Jahangirabad, Bulandshahr district, with followers of Islam participating in large numbers and raising slogans in praise of the Prophet. The procession was organized by Anjuman Bahar-e-Madina and commenced from Ansari Road in Kayasthwara locality, where Block Pramukh's husband Manoj Pradhan inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon. Committee officials welcomed and honored the chief guest with a traditional turban ceremony.

The procession witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Muslim community, with many riding horses and religious songs and slogans resonating throughout the route accompanied by DJ music. Participants chanted various religious slogans including "Nabi ka daman nahin chhodenge" and "Gulam hain, Gulam hain, Huzoor ke gulam hain" while expressing their devotion in traditional style. The procession passed through the main roads of the town, with people on horseback becoming a major attraction.

City Imam Dr. Syed Kalimur Rahman Bukhari explained the significance of the day, stating that Prophet Muhammad was born on this day and also passed away on this same date. He appealed to everyone to follow the path shown by the Prophet and practice his teachings. The religious fervor was palpable throughout the city during the procession.

Police administration remained fully alert to ensure security and maintain law and order. Circle Officer Bharat Singh Sonkar, along with Kotwali in-charge Dharmendra Lathor, Kakod Station in-charge Sudesh Kumar, and police force, accompanied the procession and kept a close watch on miscreants. Security arrangements were maintained throughout the route to ensure the peaceful conclusion of the procession.

MLA Sanjay Sharma also joined the procession and was welcomed with garlands by the City Imam. Former MLA Hoshiyar Singh, Syed Gauhar Ali, councilor Mohammad Sultan Ansari, SP leader Yogesh Pradhan, and numerous other community members and leaders were present at the occasion. The organizers thanked all those who cooperated in the successful conduct of the procession and appealed to residents to maintain mutual brotherhood, harmony, and peace.
