Kanpur Dehat: Minister Pratibha Shukla inaugurates 'Supraja OPD' on 11th Ayush Day

Kanpur Dehat. The 11th Ayush Day was observed in the district in a formal programme attended by Uttar Pradesh Minister Pratibha Shukla as the chief guest.

During the event, the 'Supraja OPD' was formally inaugurated at the 50-bed Integrated Ayush Hospital in Shahzadpur. Minister Pratibha Shukla cut the ribbon and dedicated the facility to women in the region.

Special healthcare services for pregnant women

The Supraja OPD will offer pregnant women healthcare support based on Ayurveda and yoga. The facility will provide regular health check-ups, antenatal care and expert guidance on diet and lifestyle during pregnancy.

Appeal to adopt Ayush practices

Addressing the inauguration programme, Minister Pratibha Shukla appealed to people to include Ayush and natural systems of medicine in daily life. Referring to the pandemic period, she said giloy had proved beneficial for people’s health during the Covid period.

At the end of the programme, the minister inspected the hospital premises, reviewed the health arrangements and planted a sapling to underline the message of environmental protection. She also praised medical officer Dr. Brajesh Kumar, saying he had made a special contribution from the foundation of the hospital to the facilities available today.

The facility is expected to strengthen maternal health support in the area by combining routine clinical monitoring with traditional wellness guidance under the Ayush system.
