India secured a commanding 170-run victory over Afghanistan in the second ODI, clinching the three-match series with an unassailable 2-0 lead. The win was powered by an extraordinary batting display from captain Shubman Gill and wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan, who led the charge with a record-breaking partnership.

Gill and Kishan combined for a remarkable 224-run stand for the third wicket, effectively putting the game out of Afghanistan's reach. Gill dazzled with his elegant stroke play, amassing 154 runs off just 110 balls, including 22 fours and two sixes. His innings also saw him achieve the milestone of becoming the fastest Indian to reach 3,000 ODI runs in terms of innings.

Kishan, on the other hand, was equally destructive, smashing 125 runs off 79 balls with 14 boundaries and seven sixes. Their partnership propelled India to surpass the 300-run mark in just 35.5 overs, marking one of the quickest 300-plus totals for a team batting first in ODI history.

After the match, a light-hearted moment between the two players added to the celebrations. In a video shared by the BCCI, Kishan jokingly teased Gill, saying, "Mere 70 runs kam kar diye" (You cost me 70 runs), playfully suggesting that he missed out on a potential double century because of Gill.
