History-sheeter and accomplice terrorize Ujjain neighborhood with assault, extortion and gunfire

A history-sheeter and his accomplice unleashed terror in a residential neighborhood under Chimanganj police station limits in Ujjain, carrying out two brazen attacks in a single night that included assault, extortion demands and open gunfire, leaving residents of the area in a state of fear.

The sensational incidents unfolded in lane number 3 of Saraswati Nagar located in Dhanchabhavan within the Chimanganj police station jurisdiction, where history-sheeter Ravi Dabi, who lives outside the lane, joined hands with his associate Sawan Lohar to execute two back-to-back crimes that sent shockwaves through the entire locality. CCTV footage capturing the terrifying sequence of events from both 10 pm and 2 am has since surfaced.

The first incident occurred at 10:45 pm when the criminals arrived on a motorcycle and barged into the home of Nihal Singh Kushwah, a resident of lane number 3. The assailants launched a vicious assault on Kushwah, raining blows on him while hurling abuses. During the attack, the criminals demanded an extortion amount of one lakh rupees. As they departed, the accomplice riding pillion openly threatened to kill Kushwah.

The second episode of violence unfolded around 2:00 am, targeting another complainant, Hitesh Yadav, who lives directly opposite Nihal Singh's residence. Just as Yadav was parking his four-wheeler and entering his home, the same criminal appeared brandishing a pistol and aimed it at him. Yadav managed to save his life by immediately running inside the house. Following this, the assailant fired two shots before fleeing the scene.

During the incidents, the criminals brazenly challenged authorities, saying that CCTV footage could be shown to whomever people wished, claiming they had no fear whatsoever. Upon receiving information about the incidents, Chimanganj police station officers recorded statements from the victims and registered an FIR. Police have launched an active search operation for the accused.
