Hamirpur district begins long-awaited road repairs after decades of neglect

In a significant development, authorities in Hamirpur district have initiated road repair work on a stretch that had remained neglected since India's independence. The road in question connects Brahma Ka Dera in the Sadar Kotwali area to Chandupur Gram Panchayat's hamlets. Locals had long faced difficulties due to its poor condition, which had remained unchanged for decades. Highlighting the urgency of the matter, the administration has also written to the state government seeking a budget allocation of ₹1.81 crore for comprehensive repairs.

Efforts to make the road usable are already underway, with officials ensuring close oversight of the progress.
