Ghaziabad temple celebrates Chhathi with devotional fervor and community participation

A vibrant Chhathi celebration marking the sixth day after the birth of Lord Krishna was held with great devotion and festivity at the Shri Shiv Balaji Dham temple located in Gulmohar Enclave Society on Rakesh Marg in Ghaziabad on Wednesday. A large number of women residents of the society and devotees gathered in the temple premises to participate in the auspicious occasion.

During the program, the women sang devotional hymns and songs connected to Kanha Ji's Chhathi. They also performed devotional dances to the melodious beats of dholak and manjiras. The entire temple was immersed in an atmosphere of devotion throughout the celebration. The women offered their blessings while swinging Kanha Ji in a ceremonial jhula.

Following this, the aarti of Laddu Gopal was performed with full traditional rituals and religious observance. After the aarti concluded, kadhi-chawal prasad was distributed among all the devotees present. The devotees received the prasad and sought the blessings of Lord Shri Krishna.

Temple priest Pandit Rajiv Mishra shared that women participated enthusiastically in the sankeertan held on the occasion of Chhathi. Former society president Rashmi Chaudhary said that such religious programs strengthen the feelings of faith, mutual love and brotherhood within the society.

This event was organized by the family of Alok Mishra and Karuna Mishra. Present on the occasion were former society president Rashmi Chaudhary, Karuna Mishra, Santosh Big, Sonia Malhotra, Pandit Rajiv Mishra, Suresh Mishra, Alok Mishra, Dinesh Singh along with a large number of society residents and devotees.
