Ghaziabad temple celebrates Krishna Janmashtami with devotion despite heavy rainfall

Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great fervor and devotion at Shri Shiv Balaji Dham temple in Gulmohur Enclave Society, Rakesh Marg, Ghaziabad, despite heavy rainfall. Hundreds of society residents and devotees gathered at the temple premises to participate in the birth celebration of Lord Shri Krishna.

The temple premises had been decorated magnificently with colorful balloons, flowers, attractive lighting and beautiful decorations for Janmashtami. The specially adorned cradle of Krishna ji, along with a captivating tableau of Lord Shri Krishna, remained the main center of attraction for devotees. Women, children and other devotees celebrated the birth festival by swinging Bal Gopal in the cradle.

The bhajan sandhya organized during the festival created a completely devotional atmosphere with excellent performances by bhajan singers. Devotees and society residents danced enthusiastically to the melodious tunes of Krishna bhajans. Even amid heavy rain, the enthusiasm of the devotees was remarkable. Chants of Radhe-Krishna and Lord Shri Krishna continuously echoed in the temple premises.

Chhappan Bhog was offered to Lord Shri Krishna during the program. Subsequently, charanamrit, butter-mishri and fruit prasad were distributed to devotees.

Former RWA president Rashmi Chaudhary said that Shri Krishna Janmashtami is a festival of faith and joy for Gulmohur Enclave. She said that despite heavy rain, hundreds of residents reaching the temple demonstrates their deep faith in Lord Shri Krishna. Such religious events strengthen mutual love, brotherhood and unity in the society.

Temple priest Pandit Rajiv Mishra ji said that Shri Krishna Janmashtami is the sacred festival of the divine incarnation of Lord Shri Krishna. Lord Shri Krishna gave the message of destruction of unrighteousness and establishment of righteousness. He said that the life of Lord Shri Krishna inspires us to walk on the path of truth, righteousness, duty and love. On the occasion of Janmashtami, a grand tableau, Krishna ji's cradle, bhajan sandhya and Chhappan Bhog were organized at the temple.

Present on this occasion were former RWA president Rashmi Chaudhary, Anuja Bansal, Poonam Bansal, Satish Gupta, Arvind Singhal, Ram Saran Jagga, Rajkishore Sharma, Kinshuk Bansal, Gaurav Bansal, Prabhat Garg, Vishal Big, along with hundreds of devotees and society residents.

Despite heavy rain, there was no decline in the faith and enthusiasm of devotees. Amid bhajans, kirtans, chants and Krishna devotion, the Shri Shiv Balaji Dham temple of Gulmohur Enclave appeared completely immersed in Krishna consciousness.
