District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mondal held a public hearing at his office chamber in the Collectorate in Ghaziabad and listened with seriousness and sensitivity to the problems and complaints of common citizens who had arrived from different areas of the district. During the public hearing, a large number of citizens presented petitions related to their problems before the District Magistrate and sought their resolution.

The public hearing received complaints related to various departments, including specifically illegal occupation of land and property, revenue disputes, land-related fraud, illegal encroachment, public amenities, pension, ration cards, and water supply. The District Magistrate listened attentively to the problem of each complainant and directed the concerned officers to ensure quality, effective, and speedy resolution within the stipulated time period after examining the cases as per rules.

During a conversation with media colleagues, the District Magistrate said that any kind of negligence in revenue matters will not be tolerated, and if such a thing is found anywhere, action will be taken against the concerned person as per rules. He said he would appeal through the media to all the residents of the district that if they face any problem in revenue or any other matter, they should contact the concerned higher officer, and if their complaint does not get quality resolution, they should definitely meet him once by coming to the public hearing.

Hundreds of people have started coming to the public hearing because of the working style of the District Magistrate, and quality resolutions of complaints have also taken place. During the public hearing, Smt. Rena, wife of Shri Ravi, expressed her gratitude to the District Magistrate in the happiness of getting possession of her house and fed sweets of cashew burfi to all the people present in the office. Along with this, Shri Jaypal, who had submitted a request to the District Magistrate a few days earlier, shared that he is a security guard and had worked in a company four months ago, but those people were not paying his salary and he requested the District Magistrate to help him get his salary. On the order of the District Magistrate, his entire salary was received by him in just a few days and he conveyed his thanks to the District Magistrate. After the resolution of their complaints, all the beneficiaries also appealed to the general public that if anyone has any problem, they should definitely meet the District Magistrate once.

During the public hearing, Shri Dharmvir, a resident of Modinagar, handed over a petition to the District Magistrate regarding his problem and said that since the time the District Magistrate has arrived, he has been repeatedly helping him, and there are some more problems as well for which he requested resolution. When the District Magistrate asked him who else is there in his house, the elderly person informed that out of four daughters, three have been married and there is one son who is a minor and is currently studying. The District Magistrate said that he can get his daughter married under the scheme run by the government and that he should bring his son, saying that they would talk to him and also get him a job, which would reduce many of his problems. On hearing about the job, tears came to the eyes of the elderly person and he thanked the District Magistrate repeatedly.

Along with this, many cases came during the public hearing and the District Magistrate listened to all the cases attentively and while giving orders for their quality resolution, directed the officers to take feedback.

During the public hearing, ADM E Jyoti Maurya, City Magistrate Shri Satish Chandra Tripathi, along with officers of the concerned departments, remained present.

The District Magistrate emphasized that ensuring justice for the aggrieved and providing benefits of schemes to the eligible is their priority. The public hearing reflected the District Magistrate's commitment to addressing citizen grievances with compassion and administrative efficiency. The sessions have become a platform where citizens from across the district bring their long-pending issues related to land disputes, government schemes, employment, and civic amenities, hoping for swift and fair intervention.

The case of Smt. Rena highlighted how effective administrative action can restore rightful possession to citizens who have been victims of illegal occupation. Her gesture of distributing cashew burfi in the office symbolized the relief and joy that follows when justice is delivered after prolonged struggle. Similarly, Shri Jaypal's case demonstrated the District Magistrate's responsiveness to even individual grievances of workers denied their rightful earnings, showing that no complaint is too small for attention.

The interaction with Shri Dharmvir from Modinagar was particularly touching, as the elderly resident, already assisted multiple times by the District Magistrate, approached with additional concerns. The District Magistrate's proactive offer to facilitate his daughter's marriage under a government scheme and to help secure employment for his son moved the elderly man to tears, reflecting the human dimension of public administration that goes beyond routine problem-solving.

The District Magistrate's directive to officers to examine cases as per rules, ensure timely resolution, and provide feedback mechanisms indicates a structured approach to complaint redressal. His public message through the media serves as an open invitation to citizens to approach higher authorities and, if necessary, the District Magistrate himself, reflecting an open-door policy that strengthens the bond between the administration and the people.

The presence of senior officers including ADM E Jyoti Maurya and City Magistrate Satish Chandra Tripathi during the public hearing ensured that interdepartmental coordination could be initiated on the spot for complex cases requiring multiple interventions. The public hearing has thus evolved into a crucial governance tool under the leadership of District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mondal, combining accessibility, accountability, and empathy in addressing the varied concerns of Ghaziabad's residents.
