Firozabad teacher accuses Block Education Officer of harassment, obscene WhatsApp messages

A serious case has emerged from Firozabad's basic education department where a female teacher has filed a police complaint against Block Education Officer Shrikant Patel, accusing him of harassment and sending obscene messages on WhatsApp. The teacher, posted in Eka block and originally from Etah, alleged that she was lured under the pretext of marking her absence as presence in school records, during which she was allegedly subjected to inappropriate behavior.

According to the complaint, the BEO made contact with her offering to convert her attendance records from absent to present. The teacher claims she was misled on this pretext and faced indecent conduct. She has also accused Patel of sending obscene messages via WhatsApp, adding a digital dimension to the harassment allegations. Based on her complaint, an FIR has been registered against the accused education officer at Etah Kotwali police station.

BSA Anil Kumar Singh has constituted an inquiry committee to conduct a departmental investigation into the matter.
