Firozabad District Magistrate leads sanitation drive to promote cleanliness

Firozabad District Magistrate Santosh Kumar Sharma led by example in promoting cleanliness by actively participating in a sanitation drive in the District Magistrate Colony today. Accompanied by Additional District Magistrates Kalpana Jaiswal and Mohanlal Gupta, City Magistrate Vinod Kumar Pandey, and other officials, Sharma took up a shovel to clean areas near a temple, a community hall, and surrounding spaces.

The district administration's hands-on approach was aimed at sending a strong message about the importance of cleanliness to both residents and officials. Speaking to colony residents, Sharma urged them not to restrict cleanliness to government campaigns but to make it a regular practice in their daily lives. "Cleanliness is not just a responsibility; it is a collective commitment that requires active participation from every citizen," he said.

During the drive, Sharma walked through the colony to inspect the sanitation arrangements and directed officials to enhance measures wherever necessary. He emphasized the need for a clean and beautiful environment, highlighting that it is a shared responsibility between the administration and the public.

The District Magistrate also instructed municipal officials to ensure proper waste management by placing dustbins at various locations and ensuring their timely clearance. He stressed that waste should be disposed of in designated bins to maintain hygiene and prevent littering.

Sharma's direct involvement in the cleanliness drive has been seen as a motivational gesture for both the public and government employees. His actions underline the importance of leading by example in fostering community participation for a cleaner and healthier environment. Officials and staff from the municipal corporation and other departments were present during the campaign.
