District Magistrate inspects Firozabad hospitals, orders immediate cleanup and repairs

District Magistrate Santosh Kumar Sharma conducted a surprise inspection of healthcare facilities in Firozabad today, accompanied by Additional District Magistrate (Judicial) Arvind Dwivedi. The inspection covered the district hospital, the 100-bed hospital, and the 200-bed medical college, where a comprehensive review of health systems and medical services was undertaken.

During the inspection, the District Magistrate closely observed various wards, the OPD, and the hospital premises. He directly interacted with admitted patients and their relatives to gather information about the facilities being provided, availability of medicines, and the behavior of medical staff and employees. Special attention was given to reviewing preparations made for treating patients suffering from cold, cough, fever, and flu, which have been increasing due to seasonal changes.

The District Magistrate issued strict instructions to officials and hospital administration, directing that wherever dirt or disorder was found in the hospital premises, it should be rectified immediately. He ordered that if the hospital lift, equipment, or any other facility was non-functional, it should be repaired and made operational swiftly. He made it clear that no disorder or negligence at any level would be tolerated in the hospital premises.

Emphasizing the importance of healthcare, the District Magistrate stated that health and education are fundamental necessities of human life. He warned that if any negligence or shortcoming is found, the responsible officers and employees should be prepared for strict punishment.

He concluded by saying that in accordance with the wishes of the Chief Minister and the government, providing accessible, adequate, and quality healthcare services to every citizen of the district is the administration's top priority. He added that such inspections will continue regularly to ensure there is no deficiency in the systems.

Chief Medical Superintendent, City Magistrate Vinod Kumar Pandey, and other officers were also present during the inspection.
