Financier Allegedly Attacked With Sharp-Edged Weapons By Dozen In Shamli, Seriously Injured

A financier was allegedly attacked with sharp-edged weapons by around a dozen people in Shamli district, leaving him seriously injured. The attackers reportedly fled the spot after cries for help were heard and people began gathering there.

The injured financier was taken to the District Joint Hospital after police reached the location following information about the incident. Doctors later referred him to a higher centre because of his serious condition.

The injured man has submitted a complaint to the police against unidentified attackers and requested action in the matter.

According to the information available, Upendra Deshwal, a resident of Kaserwa village under the Adarsh Mandi police station area, works as a financier. On Monday, he was travelling on a motorcycle to Chaudhary Charan Singh in the Adarsh Mandi area for some work.

It is alleged that around a dozen armed youths were already present there. They allegedly attacked Upendra Deshwal with sharp-edged weapons. He suffered serious injuries in the attack and was left covered in blood.

The incident created panic at the spot. After people started gathering there following the cries for help, the attackers allegedly fled from the location.

The police then reached the spot after receiving information about the attack and immediately admitted the injured man to the District Joint Hospital. After examining him, doctors referred him to a higher centre, citing his serious condition.

The police are looking into the complaint submitted by the injured financier. The identities of the attackers have not been established in the information available, and the complaint has been made against unidentified assailants.
