Essay competition honors Rajiv Gandhi's legacy with 156 student winners in Amethi

An essay competition commemorating former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was held at the Gauriganj office in Amethi, with awards distributed to 156 students who excelled in the contest organized on the birth anniversary of the Bharat Ratna recipient. Amethi MP Kishorilal Sharma presided over the prize distribution ceremony and honored the young participants for their outstanding performance.

The event also saw the presence of Varun Chaudhary, National Secretary and in-charge of the Congress party, marking the occasion as a significant gathering to remember the late Prime Minister's legacy. The competition drew enthusiastic participation from students across the constituency who wrote essays reflecting on Rajiv Gandhi's contributions to the nation.

The top three winners received substantial prizes in recognition of their efforts. Monica Saroj secured the first position and was awarded a refrigerator, while Anjali Verma claimed second place and received an LED television. Mohammad Arman finished third and was presented with a washing machine. The remaining 153 participants were also recognized with prizes for their participation in the competition.

Speaking at the ceremony, MP Kishorilal Sharma highlighted Rajiv Gandhi's vision for India's youth and children. He emphasized that the former Prime Minister had dreamed of advancing the talents of young Indians and building a modern India. Sharma's remarks underscored the continued relevance of Rajiv Gandhi's ideals in contemporary times, particularly his focus on empowering the younger generation through education and opportunity.
