Eight-year-old boy found safe in Banda under Operation Muskaan

In Banda, Uttar Pradesh, an eight-year-old boy who had gone missing was safely reunited with his family under the police’s Operation Muskaan initiative. The rescue was carried out by the Kotwali Dehat police team under the supervision of Banda Superintendent of Police Palash Bansal.

The incident unfolded when Mahokhar police outpost in-charge Durvijay Singh and his team were conducting routine checks of suspicious individuals and vehicles at Mahokhar crossroads. During the operation, they found the child wandering on the footpath in a confused state. The boy was unable to provide any details about his identity or family. The police took him into their care and brought him to the outpost for further inquiry.

After diligent efforts, the police discovered that the boy’s family resides in Seemaur village, Gazipur police station area, Fatehpur district. He had been visiting his grandmother’s house in Jamapur village, Girwan police station area, Banda district, with his father. While traveling from his grandmother’s house to his aunt’s home in Jamua village, Tindwari police station area, the child lost his way and ended up in Mahokhar, Banda.

Acting swiftly, the police contacted the boy’s grandmother and father, ensuring his safe return. The family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the police team for their prompt action and support. The operation highlighted the effectiveness of Operation Muskaan, which aims to trace missing children and reunite them with their families.
