Bihar Village Blast During Firecracker-Making Reportedly Leaves Seven Dead

A massive explosion took place while firecrackers were being made in Alampur village, under the jurisdiction of Jamo police station in Bihar’s Siwan district. The blast reportedly killed seven people, although the final number of deaths still needs to be confirmed by the district administration.

The explosion was so powerful that the roof of the house was damaged. Initial reports have raised the possibility that firecrackers were being manufactured illegally and that explosive material may have been stored at the site.

The investigation will have to establish under what permission the firecracker-making work was being carried out and what caused the explosion. These details are important for determining how the incident occurred and whether the required permissions were in place.

The incident has also raised serious questions about the storage of flammable material and the monitoring of firecracker manufacturing in residential areas. However, the reported death toll remains subject to confirmation by the district administration. Further findings from the investigation are expected to clarify the circumstances behind the blast and the nature of the activity being carried out there.
