Agra police raid cafés and cinemas, detain 20 for questioning

Agra witnessed a major operation on Friday as the Local Intelligence Unit (LIU) and local police conducted a joint raid at Nand Plaza, targeting alleged illegal activities. The crackdown included inspections at multiple establishments, including Barista Café and other popular hangouts in the area.

Acting on complaints of suspicious activities, authorities detained around 20 young men and women for questioning. All detainees were transported to Sadar police station via a police bus for further investigation. Officials also scrutinized documents and questioned patrons present at the cafés during the operation.

In a significant move, three cafés and two mini cinemas were sealed following the raid. The joint team is now conducting a detailed investigation into the matter, aiming to uncover the extent of the alleged violations.
