Woman regains possession of house after 11-year property dispute in Ujjain

Ujjain. The Chimanganj Mandi police station has demonstrated fairness and prudence by peacefully resolving a property dispute that had been dragging on since 2015. Sarika Jain, who had been struggling for a long time to gain entry into her own property, finally got possession of her house back thanks to the efforts of Ujjain Police.

She approached Ujjain Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sharma, who directed Station House Officer Vivek Kanodia to thoroughly examine the statements of both parties, property-related documents and other facts. Based on the facts that emerged from the documents, the other party was informed about the legal position and possible consequences and was counselled accordingly.

After the impartial action and counselling by Ujjain Police, Yogesh Sharma voluntarily handed over the keys of the house to Sarika Jain. On getting possession of the property after around 11 years, the aggrieved party expressed gratitude to Ujjain Police.

In this case, the police not only helped the victim get possession of her property by resolving the dispute in a lawful manner, but also ensured a peaceful settlement between both parties. Station House Officer Vivek Kanodia, Constable Sunil Chaudhary and Constable Bhoopesh played an important role in the action.

The case underscores how police intervention, when conducted with proper scrutiny of legal documents and fair counselling of all parties involved, can bring closure to long-standing civil disputes without resorting to prolonged litigation, ultimately delivering justice to those who have been deprived of their rightful property for years.
