'Kannappa' Re-release Announced with New Poster: Vishnu Manchu's Devotional Epic Returns to Theatres

Vishnu Manchu's devotional drama *Kannappa* is set to make a comeback in cinemas. The makers have officially announced that the film will be re-released on June 27, accompanied by the unveiling of a new poster. The striking artwork showcases Vishnu Manchu in a poignant moment, embracing a Shiva Lingam, capturing the film's deeply spiritual essence.

Sharing the news on social media, the team wrote, "#Kannappa June 27 న రీ రిలీజ్ !" (*Kannappa re-release on June 27!*).

Inspired by sacred lore, *Kannappa* narrates the journey of Thinnadu, played by Vishnu Manchu, with Preity Mukhundhan portraying Nemali. The film has been praised for its visual and musical impact. ETimes highlighted Sheldon Chau’s cinematography, which beautifully captures forested landscapes and celestial moments, lending the film a rich visual texture. While some VFX elements fell short of expectations, the production's sincerity stood out.

Stephen Devassy’s background score was another standout feature, elevating the film’s emotional depth, particularly during its intense final act. ETimes recommended the film for viewers who appreciate sacred stories with strong visual storytelling and emotional resonance, noting that *Kannappa* concludes on a powerful note that connects deeply with devotees and fans of culturally rooted cinema.

The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Vishnu Manchu, Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, Mohan Babu, Sarath Kumar, and Brahmanandam.

Despite critical acclaim for its visuals and music, *Kannappa* struggled at the box office during its initial release. According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 9 crores in net collections on its opening day domestically, with a total India gross of Rs 10.77 crores. However, collections declined due to low occupancy levels.

With its re-release, the makers aim to rekindle audience interest in this devotional epic, offering viewers another chance to experience its spiritual journey on the big screen.
