VHP’s Durga Vahini Organises Durgashtami Programme in Sambhal

On the occasion of Durgashtami, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s Matri Shakti Durga Vahini organised a grand programme in Sambhal on 16 October 2026. The event was held with enthusiasm and devotion and conveyed a message about the protection and empowerment of women.

A large number of women and girls took part in the programme. The entire pandal echoed with chants in praise of Maa Durga, creating an atmosphere of faith and celebration throughout the gathering.

The main speaker at the event was Deepa Varshney, district convener of Matri Shakti. In her address, she stressed the importance of protecting women’s strength and culture. She said that the form of Maa Durga inspires people to protect dharma and spread positive energy in society.

Deepa Varshney also said that, in the present time, women need to come together, recognise their inner strength and understand their responsibilities. Her address focused on the need for Matri Shakti to remain organised and aware of its role in society.

Poonam Shukla attended the programme as the distinguished guest. Addressing the women present, she highlighted the role of women in building society, strengthening organisations and promoting cultural values.

The organisers also played a special role in ensuring that the ceremony was conducted smoothly and successfully. Pushpa Ji and Kanika managed the arrangements for the entire programme with skill and responsibility. Their efforts helped the event conclude without any disruption.

At the end of the programme, a grand aarti of Maa Durga was performed. Prasad was then distributed among the devotees present at the venue.

Other workers of the organisation and eminent citizens were also present on the occasion. The programme brought together women and girls under the banner of Matri Shakti Durga Vahini during the Durgashtami celebrations.
