UP women's commission chief holds hearing, pledges swift redressal for grievances in Sambhal

Avni Singh, member of the Uttar Pradesh State Women's Commission based in Lucknow, conducted an extensive public hearing at the PWD Guest House on Chandausi Road in Sambhal. The session provided a platform for women from across the region to present their grievances and seek redressal on various issues affecting them.

During the hearing, Singh listened carefully to the complaints brought forward by local women and issued immediate instructions to the concerned departmental officials present at the venue. She ordered that all cases be resolved in a time-bound and expeditious manner. Women attending the session were also briefed in detail about various beneficial schemes launched by the state government for women's safety, welfare, and empowerment, enabling them to avail themselves of these programmes fully. The occasion also witnessed traditional ceremonies including 'Godh Bharai' for expectant mothers and 'Annaprashan Sanskar' for newborn babies.

Following the public hearing, Singh visited the District Joint Hospital where a grand 'Kanya Janmotsav' celebration was organised under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme. At the event, she distributed Himalaya Baby Care Kits, special gifts, and congratulatory letters from the district administration to mothers of newborn daughters.

Addressing the gathering, Singh emphasised that the Uttar Pradesh government is fully committed to the bright future, safety, and holistic development of daughters. She stated that the government is continuously implementing effective schemes and welfare policies aimed at empowering girls, and their positive impact is visible on the ground.

The programme was attended by District Probation Officer Neeraj Kumar Dwivedi, CDPO Rachna Yadav, Child Protection Officer Ekanshu Vashishth, Women's Police Station Head Renu Singh, One Stop Centre In-charge Pooja Singh, Madhu Yadav, Shravan Giri, Trimal Singh, Mohit Kumar, other concerned officials and employees, and a large number of women.
