Transformer thefts in Tajpur Rasoolpur raise alarm among local farmers

In a concerning development, yet another transformer theft has been reported from Tajpur Rasoolpur village in the Lodha police station area, marking the second such incident in just one month. The repeated thefts have left local farmers and residents deeply troubled, with many alleging that these crimes are happening due to the involvement of electricity department officials.

Chandraprakash, a farmer from the village, expressed frustration over the ongoing thefts, stating that farmers are facing significant challenges due to these incidents. He further alleged that when villagers approach the electricity department to request a replacement transformer, officials demand money for the process, adding to their woes.

Residents have also pointed out that the stolen transformer supplied electricity to a nearby colony, which is now facing prolonged power outages. This disruption has reportedly forced some families in the colony to consider moving elsewhere due to the lack of basic amenities.

The repeated thefts have sparked anger and concern among locals, who are demanding immediate action from authorities. They claim that without stricter measures and accountability, such incidents will continue to occur, further impacting their daily lives and livelihoods.
