Transformer thefts in Lodha village spark anger among farmers

A transformer theft in Tajpur Rasoolpur village of Lodha police station area has left local residents and farmers distressed. This marks the second such incident in the past month, raising concerns about the security of essential infrastructure in the region.

Farmer Chandraprakash expressed frustration, stating that repeated thefts have disrupted agricultural activities and caused significant inconvenience. He further alleged that when villagers approach the electricity department to install a new transformer, officials demand money, adding to their woes.

Residents have accused the electricity department of being complicit in the thefts. They claim that such incidents are happening due to a lack of proper oversight and possible collusion between thieves and department staff. The recurring thefts have sparked anger among locals, who feel helpless in safeguarding their property.
