Ten arrested after violent brawl erupts at Chandausi Ganesh fair

A violent brawl erupted between two groups of youths at the Chandausi Ganesh fair festival, leading to the arrest of ten people after video footage of the incident went viral on the internet.

The clash occurred around midnight on Monday, according to reports. What began as a dispute between the two groups over some matter quickly escalated into an exchange of abuses and then turned physical. Both sides pulled out their belts and began thrashing each other. The youths chased one another and beat each other with belts in full public view.

The incident caused panic and chaos at the fairground. Several onlookers recorded videos of the brawl on their mobile phones. Within a short time, the footage spread across internet media platforms, drawing public attention to the incident.

Police moved swiftly after the videos emerged. The Station House Officer informed that ten accused persons involved in the fight have been taken into custody. Action has been taken against them and a report has been registered in the matter.

The violence has raised concerns among fairgoers about safety arrangements. People have said that strict security arrangements should be in place at the fair. They have also demanded that police vigilance should be increased so that families can visit the fair and move around in a safe environment without fear of such incidents.
