Student leader Aman Jain scores 98.63 percentile in UGC NET examination

Student leader Aman Jain has achieved a remarkable milestone by qualifying the UGC NET examination in Education with an impressive 98.63 percentile, proving that active involvement in student politics need not come at the cost of academic excellence. The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results late on 28 August, revealing that Jain scored 218 marks out of 300 in the UGC NET June 2026 examination. This qualification makes him eligible for appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD programs.

Jain, who serves as Joint Secretary of the students' union, appeared for the examination on 23 June 2026. He emphasized that while remaining actively engaged in student politics and working continuously on issues affecting students, he never neglected his studies. His academic journey reflects consistent brilliance alongside his political commitments.

His educational credentials are formidable. Jain completed his high school and intermediate education at DAV Inter College, Muzaffarnagar, before pursuing BSc, MSc in Chemistry, BEd, and LLB from DAV Degree College, Muzaffarnagar, securing first division in all courses. He subsequently completed his MEd with first division from J.V. Jain College, Saharanpur. Notably, he earned gold medals at the college level in both BEd and LLB, showcasing his exceptional academic talent.

Attributing his success to his parents and teachers, Jain acknowledged that balancing student politics, social activities, and academics was challenging but his commitment to his goals made it possible. He offered advice to students preparing for competitive examinations, urging them to maintain self-belief and remain dedicated to their objectives. He stressed that regardless of circumstances, students should focus on their targets without being influenced by negativity, emphasizing that hard work, patience, and perseverance inevitably lead to success.
