SSB's 62nd Battalion organizes cycling rally honoring Major Dhyan Chand

The 62nd Battalion of the Sashastra Seema Bal at Bhinga organized a 'Sunday on Bicycle' rally today as part of the three-day National Sports Day 2026 celebrations honoring Major Dhyan Chand, the legendary hockey wizard. The cycling event was conducted under the guidance of Commandant Shri Amarendra Kumar Varun and in the presence of Shri Lalendra Ratnakar, Acting Commandant and Second-in-Command.

The rally commenced from the battalion headquarters and covered a route through Khargaura Bazaar before reaching Semri Chowk, eventually returning to the starting point. Participants cycled approximately 25 kilometers during the event, demonstrating remarkable enthusiasm and energy throughout the journey. The initiative aimed to promote fitness, health, discipline, and regular physical activity among force personnel and youth in the region.

Deputy Commandant Shri Govardhan Pujari, subordinate officers, and force personnel participated with great enthusiasm in the cycling rally.
