Speeding car plunges into water-filled pit near Amethi, two escape with minor injuries

A speeding car veered off the road and plunged into a deep water-filled pit near Rampur Matha village on Amethi Road in the Musafirkhana police station area, leaving two young occupants injured but alive after a narrow escape. The incident occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle, which then careered off the roadside and into the flooded ditch.

The two youths traveling in the car managed to escape from the submerged vehicle and save their lives, though both sustained minor injuries in the harrowing accident. The car, however, remained completely submerged in the water-filled pit following the crash.

Local authorities were alerted immediately after the incident, and an administrative team rushed to the spot to coordinate rescue efforts. Given the depth of the water and the position of the vehicle, officials arranged for a crane to extract the car from the pit.
