Shravasti Man Accused Of Sexually Abusing 9-Year-Old, Police Search Underway

An alleged case of sexual abuse involving a 9-year-old boy has been reported in the Gilola police station area of Shravasti. A 30-year-old man, who lives near the house of the boy’s relatives, is accused of calling the child to his shop on the pretext of playing Ludo and allegedly sexually abusing him.

After learning about the incident, the boy’s family reached the police station at around 6 pm on Friday evening and submitted a written complaint. Police have registered a case against the accused and started searching for him.

According to the family, the 9-year-old boy had gone to his maternal uncle’s house in the Gilola police station area on Tuesday. The accused has been identified as a man named Nanke, who lives near the boy’s maternal aunt. He allegedly called the boy to his shop on the pretext of playing Ludo. The alleged sexual abuse was then reported to have taken place there.

The accused and the victim’s family live near each other in the same locality, according to the information provided by the family.

After the alleged incident, the man is accused of fleeing from the spot. When the boy returned home, he told his family members about what had happened. The family then reached the Gilola police station on Friday evening and handed over a written complaint, seeking action against the accused.

On the basis of the complaint, police registered a case against the accused under the relevant serious sections. A search has been launched for him, and a police team is working to trace and arrest him.

Police said the boy has been sent for a medical examination. The investigation into the case is underway, and efforts are being made to arrest the accused. Police said that necessary action is being taken in the matter.
