The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Shravasti district under the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign initiated by the central and state governments. District Magistrate Annapurna Garg hoisted the national flag at the Collectorate and took the guard of honor after singing the national song, "Vande Mataram." Garg also highlighted the district's achievements in implementing welfare schemes to benefit the most marginalized individuals, contributing to the overall development of the region. She lauded the "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign as a commendable initiative that fosters national unity and integrity, expressing gratitude to officials, employees, and residents for their participation.

Additional District Magistrate Lalit Kumar urged citizens to celebrate Independence Day as a festival and honor the sacrifices of the country's brave soldiers who protect India under challenging conditions. Judicial ADM Ashok Kumar reflected on the historical struggle for freedom, emphasizing the importance of remembering the sacrifices of India's heroes.

The event concluded with patriotic songs and speeches from various officials, including SDMs, government advocates, and other dignitaries. Families of freedom fighters were honored with mementos and shawls, adding a heartfelt touch to the celebrations.
