Seven-year-old girl dies as mud wall collapses during sleep in Amethi

A seven-year-old girl died after a mud wall collapsed on her while she was sleeping at her home in Fundanpur village under Shukul Bazaar police station area in Amethi. The tragedy occurred as intermittent rainfall over the past several days weakened the structure, causing it to suddenly give way.

The wall came crashing down on the child as she slept inside the house. Family members rushed to remove the debris and pulled her out from under the rubble. They immediately took her to a hospital, but doctors declared her dead on arrival.
