Senior officials find Bahraich jail facilities and sanitation standards satisfactory

District Magistrate Akshay Tripathi and Superintendent of Police Vishwajit Srivastava jointly inspected the Bahraich District Jail to assess the facilities being provided to inmates and the overall sanitation conditions of the prison. The inspection was part of a routine monitoring exercise to ensure that the jail administration maintains adequate standards in prisoner welfare and infrastructure upkeep.

During the inspection, the DM and SP conducted a thorough review of various barracks and examined the functionality of closed-circuit television cameras installed across the facility. They also inspected the storage areas, barricading arrangements, ongoing construction work, and the kitchen where meals for inmates are prepared. Special attention was paid to the quality of food being served to prisoners, with officials personally checking the preparation standards and hygiene protocols followed in the cookhouse.

The senior officials found the cleanliness and other arrangements at the jail to be satisfactory. The visit covered multiple aspects of jail management, including security infrastructure, prisoner accommodation, and daily operations. The inspection aimed to ensure that the Bahraich District Jail complies with prescribed norms for prisoner care and facility maintenance.

Present during the inspection were Jail Superintendent Rajeev Kumar Singh, Jailers Ajay Kumar Jha, Hariom Gaud, and Anju Sharma, along with other concerned officials. Such joint inspections by the district administration and police leadership underscore the coordinated approach to maintaining law and order infrastructure in Bahraich district. The district authorities have emphasized the importance of regular monitoring to uphold standards in correctional facilities and ensure humane treatment of inmates while maintaining necessary security protocols.
