School teacher in critical condition after consuming tablets, alleges harassment by wife and in-laws

A disturbing case has emerged from Bulandshahr district in Uttar Pradesh where a school teacher allegedly attempted suicide by consuming sulfas tablets after claiming prolonged mental harassment by his wife and in-laws.

Kishan Singh, also known as Happy, who works as a teacher at NPS School and resides near Awas Vikas police post, is currently in critical condition. Following the incident, he was initially rushed to Nova Hospital where doctors provided primary treatment before referring him to Fortis Hospital for advanced medical care.

According to details that have come to light, Kishan Singh returned home from school after finishing his duties. Reports indicate that at that time his parents were not present at the residence. It was during this period that Kishan Singh consumed sulfas tablets.

When family members arrived home, they discovered Kishan Singh lying unconscious. He was immediately rushed to the hospital in an emergency. The case took a sensational turn when police recovered an alleged suicide note from the scene.

In the purported suicide note, Kishan Singh has leveled serious allegations against his wife Mansi, his brother-in-law Nishant, and his mother-in-law Seema. The letter claims that barely one week after his marriage, he began facing alleged mental torture from his in-laws' side.

The note alleges that his wife pressured him to transfer the house into her name and threatened to kill him if he refused to comply. Further accusations in the suicide note include demands for one lakh rupees in cash, abusive language directed at his family members, and threats of physical assault.

Kishan Singh has also allegedly written that overwhelmed by the continuous harassment, he had filed a divorce petition in court. The allegations state that following this legal action, the purported torture intensified even further.

According to the letter, on June 12, 2026, his father Yashpal Singh was also allegedly threatened with death. Distressed by the persistent threats and alleged mental torture, the teacher finally attempted to end his life by consuming sulfas.

Police have seized the alleged suicide note and initiated an investigation into the matter. The complete picture will only become clear after police investigate the allegations made in the suicide note.
