Sambhal Police reconciles seven families through community counseling initiative

The Sambhal Police Family Counseling Center successfully reconciled seven families during a session held at the Police Lines in Bahjoi, marking another step in the force's community mediation efforts.

The meeting of the Sambhal Police Family Counseling and Reconciliation Center was organized under the direction of Superintendent of Police Vikas Chandra Tripathi and as per the instructions of Additional Superintendent of Police (South) Manoj Kumar Rawat and Circle Officer Bahjoi Stuti Singh.

Station House Officer Dr. Rukmpal Singh chaired the session, which focused on resolving ongoing disputes between husbands and wives through counseling support and mutual settlement.

During the counseling proceedings, a total of 91 case files were heard, of which 20 cases were disposed of. Based on mutual agreements reached during the session, seven families were successfully reunited. Meanwhile, legal action was recommended in three cases.

In addition, 10 case files were closed due to non-appearance of the applicant or petitioner at the counseling session and because no insistence was made for further action in those matters.

The session was attended by counselors Lovmohan Varshney, Sangeeta Bhargav, Shweta Gupta, Babita Sharma, Seema Arya, and Kanchan Maheshwari, along with Women Head Constable Rashmi Gahlaut, Woman Constable Vinita, and others.
