Sambhal district ramps up security for historic Ganesh Chaturthi Fair 2026

The Sambhal district administration has intensified preparations for the historic Ganesh Chaturthi Fair 2026, with senior police officials conducting a comprehensive security review at the venue. Superintendent of Police Vikas Chandra Tripathi on Saturday carried out an on-site inspection of the fairground to assess security arrangements and operational readiness for the event.

During his visit, SP Tripathi examined multiple aspects of the preparations, including security deployment, traffic management, crowd control measures, and parking facilities. He held detailed consultations with concerned officials and representatives from the Shri Ganesh Mela Parishad (Registered), Chandausi, who briefed him on arrangements for the 66th edition of the fair. The discussions covered anticipated crowd levels, key access routes, designated parking areas, and comprehensive security protocols.

Addressing the officials, SP Tripathi emphasized that the safety and security of devotees and visitors attending the fair remains the topmost priority. He directed authorities to ensure adequate police force deployment across the venue and establish effective systems for traffic regulation and crowd management. The superintendent stressed that devotees should face no inconvenience during the event and instructed officials to strengthen police presence at crucial locations while maintaining vigilant monitoring of crowd movement.

The inspection was attended by Chandausi Circle Officer Vivek Jawala, Inspector in Charge Sant Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, and office bearers of the Shri Ganesh Mela Parishad along with other stakeholders. The Ganesh Chaturthi Fair in Sambhal is among North India's renowned and historically significant fairs, drawing large numbers of devotees annually. The administration's early preparations reflect its commitment to ensuring a peaceful, well-organized, and successful celebration in 2026.
